Round 3, Pick 67: Jordyn Brooks |LB| Texas Tech

With the 67th overall pick in this year’s 2020 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions select Jordyn Brooks, linebacker, Texas Tech.

The Detroit Lions desperately need a downhill linebacker that is big, physical, and that is not afraid to hit running back or wide receiver as hard as he could, that is what exactly what Jordyn Brooks will do for the Lions defense.

Brooks is a rangy linebacker for his size. What sets him apart from other linebackers is that he is an explosive tackler that also has outstanding tackling form. Brooks also has excellent gap shooting ability on the run or even passes when he supposed to blitz. What I think teams will love that I love that Brooks does is that he has no physical restrictions. The one thing that Brooks needs to work on that will make him play even better is if he can get some better coverage skills, Brooks could be one of the best linebackers to come out of this draft when it is all said and done.

Round 4, Pick 109: Bradlee Anae |EDGE| Utah

With the 109th overall pick in this year’s 2020 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions select Bradlee Anae, edge rusher, Utah.

The Detroit Lions need to get more pressure on the quarterback. Anae had one of the best Senior Bowl performances I have ever seen as an EDGE rusher, that is what raised him up the draft board. After the Senior Bowl, a bunch of analysts decided to go watch his Utah tape and he was a very good player. He is very ‘raw’, needs a good coach that can develop him.

What I think makes him stand out from some of the other EDGE rushers in this class is that he gets off the ball so fast that offensive tackles and tight ends can not even block him half of the time or he will make the first move on his opponents. Also what I think teams will really like about Anae is that he has a motor that does not stop. HIs burst, his motor, his play strength are some of the best I have seen, which I think Matt Patricia will love for his defense.
