The Titans are fresh off an AFC Championship appearance. After signing Tannehill to a new deal, they’ll look to the 2020 NFL Draft to add talent

The Tennessee Titans are coming off a strong season in 2019-20, where they made it all the way to the AFC Championship game, where they would lose to the eventual Super Bowl champs, the Kansas City Chiefs. The Titans rode on the back of running back Derrick Henry as far as they could until Henry could no longer carry the load for Tennessee. They will now look forward to the 2020-21 season and attempt to capitalize on their strong season, starting with the 2020 NFL Draft.

In the 2019 NFL Draft, the Titans were limited in picks (only six picks) but were able to make the most out of them landing some key contributors on a team that had a real shot at making the Super Bowl.

With their first pick in 2019, they drafted Jeffery Simmons, who by many was valued as a top-10 talent and would have likely been selected there if it had not been for a torn ACL suffered in his final collegiate season. In the second round, the Titans selected AJ Brown who would go on to lead all rookies in receiving yards. On Day-2, Tennessee came away with both Nate Davis and Amani Hooker, Davis would go on to start multiple games at right guard and Hooker has still yet to get his chance on defense only seeing the field on 30% of the snaps, but has been a key contributor on special teams.

If the Titans want to see themselves reach the AFC Championship game yet again, and perhaps win it this time, they’ll need to attack the 2020 NFL Draft similarly to how they did in 2019. If they can land players with a near impact, they could be just as competitive and with this seven-round mock, they may be on the right path.
