The Rams added another top-60 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft after trading wide receiver Brandin Cooks and a fourth round pick to the Houston Texans

The Los Angeles Rams have more 2020 NFL Draft capital!

After trading most of it away over the past few seasons, the Rams landed another second round pick by picking on Houston Texans’ head coach/general manager Bill O’Brien, who has been trading away assets all offseason. By trading Brandin Cooks and a fourth round pick, the Rams have their second top-60 pick in the draft.

Given their current cap situation, the Rams will need to nail the draft and load up on young, cost-effective talent. Just two years removed from the Super Bowl, the Rams will look to get back to the promised land again after a down year in 2019.

No more Todd Gurley, Cooks, Marcus Peters, and Lamarcus Joyner from that crew. However, they still have the likes of Jared Goff and Aaron Donald, and even added superstar Jalen Ramsey last year as well. The talent is there, and Sean McVay is still at the helm.

With a solid draft, the Rams can find themselves back in contention in the NFC West despite the success of the Seahawks and NFC Champion 49ers. Here is a seven round mock draft for the Rams after adding another valuable asset to their arsenal.
