Team Needs

Offensive Tackle

One of the top priorities for Dave Gettleman and first-year head coach Joe Judge needs is to protect their franchise quarterback Daniel Jones and give holes for Saquon Barkley to run through. Jones was sacked 38 times last season, which that is not adding the times that Jones escaped the pressure and threw the ball away. The G-Men signed former Cowboys swing tackle Cameron Fleming. If the Detriot Lions pick Isaiah Simmons or Chase Young, the New York football Giants will have their pick at they feel is the best offensive tackle in the draft class.

Edge Rusher

The New York Giants is making edge rusher their top priority in this year’s draft. The Giants need to get a player that can get to the Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz and the Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott. The Giants have signed edge rushers in the past free agency’s, but this year the Giants need to get an young guy that can develop in the Giants scheme. If the Giants have the chance to draft the Ohio State edge rusher in Chase Young, the Giants should be running the card to Roger Goodell as fast as they can. If they can not, they should wait to pick one at the start of day two.

Linebacker

The Giants need plain and simple are more playmakers on defense, that starts with the linebacker position. The Giants signed Blake Martinez this offseason to a three-year deal and the Giants also resigned David Mayo. But imagine if the Giants have the chance to add a player like Isaiah Simmons to their defense that does not just have to play linebacker, Simmons can play safety, nickel cornerback, and WILL linebacker. The Giants have a lot to think about during their NFL Draft.
