They will make a trade in the first round

It seems likely the Browns will make a deal within the first 32 picks in the 2020 NFL Draft. Current general manager Andrew Berry was on staff with former GM Sashi Brown, and has also worked with Philadelphia Eagles’ GM Howie Roseman. Both of these general managers that Berry has worked under love to make deals with their draft assets.

There have been reports that the Browns are interested in trading down, gathering more assets, and landing a second tier offensive tackle like Ezra Cleveland later in the first round. However, trading back into or up the board is also on the table.

In 2017, under Brown, the Browns traded not only down the board with the Texans, who drafted Deshaun Watson, but they also traded back into the back part of the first round in order to land tight end David Njoku. Last year, Howie Roseman and the Eagles moved up the board in order to land offensive tackle Andre Dillard.

Berry has been the protege of two negotiators who love to move draft picks like a product; it would not be a shock to see the Browns make at least one move in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
