The San Francisco 49ers don’t have any picks on day two of the 2020 NFL Draft but these players figure to be on the radar in case of a trade up.

It’s unclear whether the San Francisco 49ers will pay any part in day two of the 2020 NFL Draft.

The 49ers have no picks in rounds two and three or four having followed up the selection of Javon Kinlaw by trading up from 31 to 25 to take Brandon Aiyuk.

It means the Niners are in the position where they will likely have to trade either players or future picks to get into day two.

But what players could they target should they choose to do that? We like at five prospects who figure to be on their radar.

Ezra Cleveland, OT, Boise State

Cleveland was considered a prospect who could have come off the board on day one.

However, as six other tackles where seeing their dreams quickly realized, Cleveland saw his waiting game extended into day two and, if his slide continues, the Niners could be convinced to find a way into the second round to make him the successor to Joe Staley at the tackle position.

Only Tristan Wirfs had a better SPARQ rating – a composite score that measures a prospect’s athleticism – among offensive linemen than Cleveland. The 49ers’ zone-blocking scheme is one that relies on athletic offensive linemen and there is no question that Cleveland fits the bill.

Play strength is considered the issue for Cleveland, but with time to learn behind Staley – assuming the veteran six-time Pro Bowler eschews retirement sticks around for the 2020 season – he would be entering into an ideal environment in which to develop into a starting NFL tackle.

Cleveland could well be one of the first names off the board on day two. Should he continue to tumble, it would not be a huge surprise to see the 49ers strike a deal to get into round two to make him Jimmy Garoppolo’s future blindside protector.
