Dynasty leagues provide the chance to store rookies who may not be immediate contributors on your roster, here we look at five players worthy of stashing.

Dynasty fantasy football leagues are about striking a balance between players who can contribute immediately and those who will be valuable in years to come.

Rookie drafts this year will offer plenty of both after a deep class of draftees entered the NFL.

The likes of Joe Burrow, CeeDee Lamb and Clyde Edwards-Helaire will all be anticipated to make significant fantasy impacts right off the bat.

But who are the rookies worth stashing on your dynasty roster for future seasons. Here we identify five.

Adam Trautman, TE, New Orleans Saints

The Saints got an under-the-radar steal when they were able to land Trautman with the 105th overall pick. Tight ends can find it difficult to break out in their first season in the league, but all signs point to Trautman having a significant role in the years to come.

Trautman enjoyed a remarkable final season with Dayton, catching a school single-season record of 70 passes for 916 yards and 14 touchdowns.

The all-time record holder in receptions (178) and receiving yards (2,295) for the Flyers, Trautman will likely start his career with the Saints behind Jared Cook and Josh Hill but should ascend to the starting role early in his career.

Indeed, the 2021 year of Cook’s contract automatically voids at the cost of $2million in dead cap, making him an unrestricted free agent next offseason.

Cook will be 34 by the time the 2021 campaign begins. Investing further capital in a tight end with that many miles on the clock would not be a prudent move by the Saints, and the path should be clear for Trautman to assume the starting job.

It is unclear whether Drew Brees will be the quarterback in 2021 but starting at a skill position in a typically prolific offense is a very advantageous position to be, and a pick used on Trautman in a dynasty rookie draft could look an extremely astute move come next year.
