The small school sleepers

Last year FCS star Adam Trautman heard his name called in the third round as he landed with the New Orleans Saints. This year, there are three other FCS star tight ends who could find themselves selected in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Dalton Kincaid, San Diego

An underclassman, San Diego’s Dalton Kincaid has obliterated FCS competition over the past two seasons. Coming off of a sophomore season where he scored eight times, tallying 44 catches and 844 yards in the process, the true junior tight end enters his third season with 19 career touchdowns already.

Briley Moore, Kansas State (UNI Transfer)

No longer at the FCS level, former Northern Iowa tight end Briley Moore has made the jump to the Big 12 after transferring to Kansas State this offseason. After facing limited playing time due to injuries a year ago, he tallied 400 yards and three scores in just eight games.

Zach Davidson, Central Missouri

An interesting combination, Central Missouri tight end Zach Davidson is not only a massive target at 6-7, but he is the team’s punter as well. Coming off of a year with 15 touchdowns and nearly 900 yards receiving, Davidson looks to prove he can move fluidly in his large frame. He has a tantalizing build, but will his game translate to the next level?
