Who are some dark horses to win NFL MVP in 2020?

The NFL is still a few months away but that doesn’t mean this isn’t a good window for bettors to find the best value for the NFL MVP in this upcoming season. The NFL has had an impressive run of long shots winning the award in the last five years:

Cam Newton +5200

Matt Ryan +7500

Patrick Mahomes +4500

Lamar Jackson +4000

There are the obvious picks like Mahomes or Jackson to repeat but the best values lie further down the list. The theme of this list is to try to find guys that have greater odds like four of the previous five winners. We’ll stick with just QBs because of the inherent advantage they’ll always have when it comes to selecting an MVP.

The last non QB to win the AP NFL MVP was in 2012 when Adrian Peterson nearly shattered the single-season rushing record. The league is becoming more and more QB oriented as the years progress. So, without further delay, these are the three guys that have obvious reasons why they may not have the best odds but are absolutely plenty capable talent wise to win the MVP.
