Duke CB Mark Gilbert a 2021 NFL Draft sleeper on the rise

Scouting Report Part II
Off-Ball: Plays little to no off-coverage (at least in the games I witnessed). He has displayed excellent eyes and awareness so I have confidence he’ll be fine in this field if asked to do so at the next level. (7/10)
Hips & Footwork: Excellent balance, keeps a great center of gravity. Good bend in the waist and knees allows him to make clean and quick translations. Hips smooth as silk. Possesses extremely quick feet; staccato steps make for easy transitions. His injury was to his hip, curious to see how this may affect him. (8.5/10)
Mentality/Run Support: Not afraid to stick his nose into the grinder. He isn’t scared to get physical at the line, it doesn’t matter the size of the guy on the other side of the line of scrimmage. Gets stuck on blocks too often and for too long. He needs to get better at disengaging. Works to control the sideline. (7.5/10)
Tackle: Needs to become more consistent securing the tackle, leaves his feet too soon. Hail Mary. The willingness is there just not with regularity. Needs to keep his head/eyes up; see the target, hit the target. (6/10)
2017 Statistics: 19 solo tackles, 35 total tackles, 3 tackles-for-loss, 6 interceptions, and 15 pass deflections.
Overall Grade: 7.90
Preliminary Round Grade: Early Second
