Henry Ruggs III was selected by the Raiders, and he is already making an impact

When the Las Vegas Raiders selected Alabama wide receiver Henry Ruggs III, they expected him to make an immediate impact on the field for their offense. While he has yet to take a snap in his professional football career, is already making an impact in the city of Las Vegas.

Since arriving in Las Vegas, Ruggs III has donated over 3,000 meals to a local nonprofit in the city called Three Square Las Vegas. In fact, a top priority of Ruggs’ as he turned pro was to give back to whatever community he would be drafted into.

"“When I found out that Vegas would be my new home, I immediately reached out and tried to find some things that I could be involved in within the community… That’s big to me — giving back” (Ruggs III via 247 Sports)."

In addition to donating meals, Ruggs III has also been making signing autographs for fans within the community as well. As the Raiders move to a new community, it appears they have found the perfect face and role model to use to build their fanbase in a new city.

Not only is Ruggs already making a name for himself in the city of Las Vegas, but he will look to give Derek Carr an opportunity to make an impact down the field as well. Should Ruggs make the same impact on the field as he does off, he will become a fan favorite in no time.
