Auburn and North Carolina have great duos of 2021 NFL Draft wide receivers

There are a couple of different wide receiver duos across the country that will light it up in the upcoming season. You can’t talk about wide receiver duos without bringing up Alabama, or should I say foursome. Alabama has another duo in the 2021 NFL Draft, but there are a couple more to highlight.

For both the 2018 and 2019 season, Alabama had a wide receiver core that could not be matched. After we saw Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs III become first-round picks, they left behind two other receivers Jaylen Waddle and DeVonta Smith. Waddle and Smith will be fascinating to watch this season, but I wanted to take a closer look at two other receiver duos and see how they stack up in this star-studded class.

The first pair is Auburn wideouts, Seth Williams and Anthony Schwartz. Both of these college stars could not be more different in size and play style, but I think they complement each other well. Williams and Schwartz combined for 100 receptions and 1,270 yards and 11 rushing and receiving touchdowns. Some pretty impressive numbers for two underclassmen receivers playing with true freshman quarterback Bo Nix who was anything but consistent. Auburn’s offense should take a considerable jump this year with these two leading them.

Another dynamic set of receivers is North Carolina’s Dyami Brown and Dazz Newsome. These two lit up the ACC in 2019, combining for 123 catches, 2,052 yards, and 22 touchdowns. UNC will be a team on the rise this season with freshman star quarterback Sam Howell. This group will light up the ACC again this year and should be intriguing receivers NFL teams will love come draft season.
