WR Seth Williams

Seth Williams was Auburn’s number one target last year and has shown some exciting traits. Williams is 6-foot-3 and 224 pounds and uses his size well. He put up 59 receptions with 830 yards in 2019. Williams was their biggest target on 3rd down and in the red zone. Nix has seemed to favor him and should grow more comfortable with him in 2020.

Williams has excellent size and length that any team would love to add. He has a rare athletic build that he wins a lot with. Williams has some of the best hands in the class. His catch radius is great and can catch through traffic. He shows some good releases to get outside leverage on corners. His footwork is good for a player at his size; he isn’t just a jump ball guy. His contested catchability is very good. Williams is physical enough to work back shoulder passes at a high level and be a huge red zone threat.

Williams has some areas of concern and where he can get better. He doesn’t have good long speed to pressure deep zones. He doesn’t show to be a threat after the catch—limited route tree. Release could use work with the footwork to get more consistent separation.

Seth Williams will develop into an NFL caliber wide receiver. He shows to be a big body receiver that can win at the catch point. Williams will slide right into the second and third tier of this deep, wide receiver class.
