Monday Morning Sleepers: 4 2021 NFL Draft sleepers with potential to soar in 2020
By Cory Kinnan
Isaiah McKoy, Wide Receiver, Kent State
In a deep wide receiver class as this one is, it is going to be easy for 2021 NFL Draft sleepers to get lost in the shuffle. One of those players who must remain above the muddied waters of the class is Kent State wide receiver Isaiah McKoy.
Listed at 6-3 and 185 pounds, McKoy has the necessary length to succeed in the NFL, and has exemplary footwork on his routes to win both over the top and underneath coverages. Entering his third season with the Golden Flashes, McKoy has already produced two reliable seasons without consistency at the quarterback position.
A season ago, McKoy racked up 872 yards through the air and eight touchdowns on 56 catches; he averaged a whopping 15 yards per catch as he dominated MAC competition. Last year brought his career totals up to nearly 100 catches for 1,300 yards and 11 touchdowns.
McKoy has been training with the esteemed footwork specialist The Footwork King, and it shows as he has great fluidity to his movements and quick, sudden feet on his routes. He was a high school track star as well, so not only can he win with his routes, but he can also burn the defensive back across from him deep as well. This type of versatility will not go unnoticed.
