Tank for Trevor Lawrence update as NFL training camps are underway
By Cory Kinnan
The Jets and Patriots have put their names in the ring for Trevor Lawrence
The 2020 season is set to begin as teams are now returning to training camp. Among those teams are AFC East rivals the New England Patriots and New York Jets. Both teams have had a busy week, and while both were unpopular choices to join the Tank for Trevor Lawrence campaign, both are now alive and well.
While Lawrence would be a prime candidate to sit out the 2020 season and train for the 2021 NFL Draft, it does not seem like it is in his wheelhouse. Currently, the frontrunner to be the top pick next April, Lawrence looks like the best quarterback prospect since Andrew Luck in 2012 and is the prized jewel of quarterback-needy teams moving forward.
Now as teams are reporting for training camp, football is becoming real once again, and so is the pursuit of Lawrence. Admitting it or not, there are a handful of teams who are poised and who have placed themselves in position to land the Clemson quarterback.
At 6-6 and 220 pounds, Lawrence has an elite build and even better tools to be the next big thing in the NFL. Here we investigate who the front runners are, including the new contestants in the Patriots and Jets.
