Remember when Miami drafted Dion Jordan 3rd overall in 2013? It’s time to make up for that disastrous pick.

The most recent highly drafted edge rusher to be selected by the Miami Dolphins was Dion Jordan in 2013. We all know how that turned out. The Dolphins look to be heading in the right direction for the first time in a long time. Head coach Brian Flores has this team playing hard every Sunday regardless of who is playing on the field.

After moving on from what was thought to be franchise cornerstone players and requiring a boatload of picks in the 2020 NFL Draft, they walked away with three first-round picks. Most importantly, Tua Tagovailoa with the first selection of their 2020 class. Miami ranked dead last in total sacks in 2019 with 23 on the season.

Taco Charlton led the team with only five sacks last season. Curtis Weaver was selected in the fifth round in the 2020 NFL Draft but I’m not expecting him to come in and make the immediate impact that Miami needs on the defensive line. Enter in Gregory Rousseau in 2021 in round one and things will be on the up and up.

Currently, this football team doesn’t have high expectations coming into the season and if we see another five-win season in 2020, Rousseau might fall right into the Dolphins lap.
