Where Rashawn Slater can improve

While there is a solid foundation of a prospect to build off of with Rashawn Slater, there are still elements of his game he must improve before he heads to the 2021 NFL Draft. His frame is completely out of his control, officially listed at under 6-foot-3 and 314 pounds, but he can, however, bulk up as he more than likely prepares to transition to the interior of an offensive line.

Should he be preparing for the move to the interior of the offensive line, then Slater will need to work on his anchor strength. While he could consistently handle the attack of edge rushers at tackle, his anchor appeared a bit suspect when he had larger defensive tackles squaring up into his frame.

Luckily for Slater, he has good arm length, giving him plenty of space to add clean, healthy eight to his frame without compromising too much of his mobility. More than anything else, the concerns NFL teams will have about Slater will have to do with the size of his overall frame and how they will deploy him with their teams at the next level.

To wrap it up, we will take a look at Slater’s 2021 NFL Draft projection.
