Alonzo Booth, RB, Eastern Kentucky

Booth and the endzone were best friends last year as he racked up 14 touchdowns on the ground. While he only had 673 yards and a low average he was a magnet for touchdowns. He is a massive running back at 6-foot-1 inch and 250 pounds, he is still a junior and may end up coming back in 2021, but if he cracks double-digit touchdowns again we could see a change.

The NFL is ever-evolving and right now the big thing is dual-back sets. Having two running backs with different skill sets to have the perfect player for every situation. Booth has the size to cause havoc near the goal line even at the next level as he outweighs some of the linebackers out there, and is a nightmare for any defensive back to tackle. This is a Jerome Bettis situation all over again, maybe he doesn’t get 100 yards a game or exciting 70-yard runs, but he should be a win every time at the goal line.

If Booth can do better than 14 touchdowns again he should be a late-round flier in the sixth or seventh round and used as a perfect goal-line back for any team sporting a speed back as their lead running back.
