Eastern Kentucky vs Marshall: 3 2021 NFL Draft prospects to watch
Brendan Knox, RB, Marshall
We hit one team’s running back, and now we get to the other as Marshall’s bellcow Brendan Knox is well worth the watch today for the Thundering Herd. Going into his true junior year at Marshall, Knox already has a season going over 1,300 yards rushing under his belt as he once again looks to dominate the gridiron in 2020 and prove he could be worthy of a 2021 NFL Draft selection this next April.
The 6-foot-0 and 223 pound running back is an explosive runner who racked up 1,387 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns, averaging over five yards per carry as a sophomore a year ago. He added 14 catches out of the backfield for 129 yards receiving as well, showing he at least has the ability to make a play as a receiver. This came on the heels of a freshman season where he averaged over six yards per carry, rushing for 578 yards and four touchdowns in limited action.
Small schools with some big time talent, Eastern Kentucky vs. Marshall looks to offer a glimpse of 2021 NFL Draft talent to keep an eye on. First Ball and Booth, and now Knox look to showcase their talent with the season now underway despite all odds that stood in the way with the ongoing health crisis.
