Is college football truly back until the SEC is playing? The premier college football conference finally returns to action on Saturday. The college football landscape obviously looks completely different in 2020 and the SEC is the most prevalent example of that. First, the conference decided to wait until the end of September to return to the field. Second, they will only play a 10 game schedule with all being SEC games and no non-conference games.
Georgia and Arkansas will open up their 2020 seasons when they face off on Saturday at 4:00 pm on the SEC Network. Georgia will look to build off their excellent success in recent years and finally breakthrough to win the SEC Conference Championship. The Bulldogs are not just contenders for the SEC, they are clear College Football Playoff and National Championship contenders as well.
Arkansas, meanwhile, struggled mightily in 2019 on their way to a 2-10 record. That’s not even mentioning that they didn’t win a single conference game last year.
