Patrick Surtain II, Cornerback, Alabama

The cornerback position was absolutely loaded last season, seeing two corners — Jeff Okudah and CJ Henderson — selected in the top 10 of the draft. Looking at the corners in this year’s class, and it’s looking like we may have a shot to get two corners in the top 10 yet again. One of the guys with top-10 potential, is Crimson Tide corner, Patrick Surtain II.

As you may have noticed, the name Patrick Surtain sounds familiar, well, you’re not wrong, Surtain II is the son of former All-Pro corner Patrick Surtain. Surtain II has the pedigree being the son of a former NFL player, but he also has the size and athleticism as well. He is listed as 6-foot-2, 202-pounds and he moves extremely well for that size; he’s pretty much everything you look for in a top-10 player.

Nick Bolton, Inside Linebacker, Missouri

Finally, a player from Missouri to crack the list. Surely this article could feature only Alabama players, but it would be unfair to leave out Nick Bolton. Missouri isn’t producing top-tier talent, in fact, in last year’s draft, the highest player drafted from Missouri was Jordan Elliott who was selected in the third round by the Cleveland Browns.

Bolton, despite not having the same amount of fan-fair as guys like Moses and Parsons has the talent to be talked about with those guys. As a run-defender, Bolton may the best in all of college football. Let’s not forget, Bolton was first-team SEC last season for the Tigers and he certainly deserved it racking up 103 tackles with 74 of them being solo. This match-up may not feature the best linebacker in the country, but it has the two — Moses and Bolton — competing for that next spot.
