Who are some 2021 NFL Draft prospects to watch in Kansas State vs Oklahoma?

After an interesting first set of games for the conference, the Big 12 kicks off league play Saturday with five games, including FOX’s Big Noon game between Kansas State (0-1) and No. 3 Oklahoma (1-0). Kansas State is coming off a stunning 35-31 home loss to Arkansas State back on September 12, one of three Big 12 teams that lost at home to Sun Belt opponents that day (Louisiana def. Iowa State, Coastal Carolina def. Kansas).

Oklahoma had absolutely no trouble whatsoever in a 48-0 blowout of Missouri State. Redshirt freshman quarterback Spencer Rattler had an incredible debut for the Sooners, going 14/17 passing for 290 yards and four touchdown passes. And that was all in the first half. With the Sonners up 41-0 at halftime, Rattler got to rest during the second half and watched Tanner Mordecai also go 14/17 passing for 157 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

That game already has some buzzing that Rattler could end up even better than the trio of quarterbacks that came before Rattler: Jalen Hurts, Kyler Murray and Baker Mayfield.

We have plenty of time to watch Rattler and prepare for him in the NFL. For now, we’ll take a look a few other names to keep an eye on as we really begin picking up speed on the road to the 2021 NFL Draft. Most fans also know of interior offensive lineman Creed Humphrey, who very well could have been a first-round pick had he declared for the 2020 NFL Draft, but decided to return for one more year at Oklahoma. We won’t get too much into him but we do have a few others on both squads to look into.
