WR Charleston Rambo, Oklahoma

Charleston Rambo is Oklahoma’s leading returning receiver from 2019 after catching 43 passes for 743 yards and five touchdowns for the Sooners a year ago. He got off to a fast start in 2020 with four catches for 80 yards and two touchdowns, leading the Sooners in receiving in their 48-0 drubbing of Missouri State two weekends ago.

He can be used in a number of different ways as Oklahoma has lined him up out at the numbers, and they will bring him into the slot and close to the formation as well to try and gain a mismatch advantage; he can be a deep threat for Oklahoma and can also run the quick game. He has a pretty wide-open route tree, and though Rambo is not the quickest or smoothest route-runner, he will fight hard and has good mental processing to recognize coverages and how to release and attack versus jam, bail.

He does have solid speed to close quickly on a bailing cornerback. However, his size might be of some concern at 6’1″, 175 pounds. He’s a deeper name to keep an eye on going forward. Being the main guy in Oklahoma’s offense will certainly give him plenty of chances to impress.
