Virginia Football will look to do the impossible against Clemson

The Virginia Football Cavaliers will be taking on the Clemson Tigers, a daunting task as they get their second week of the season underway. The returning ACC-Coastal champions enter the matchup after a Week 1 victory over the Chase Brice led Duke Blue Devils.

While the Cavaliers will not be favored in this game as they look to get after the likely first overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft in Trevor Lawrence, it does not discredit the amount of talent on the roster in Charlottesville. In fact, the defensive side of the ball for the Cavaliers boasts a great deal of potential NFL talent who will be relied upon if they want to pull off the upset of a life time.

A year ago, they only had one player drafted on the defensive side of the ball in the 2020 NFL Draft in cornerback Bryce Hall as he was drafted in the fifth round by the New York Jets. This means the Cavaliers are returning a great deal of starters on the defense as Virginia looks to repeat as Coastal champions and get back to the ACC championship game.

Not only do they return the majority of their starters, but there is a handful of NFL talent on this Cavaliers’ roster as well on defense. Who are these prospects who will take the field for the Virginia Football program as they look to rattle Lawrence and the Clemson offense.
