A sleeper in the 2021 NFL Draft class, Isaih Pacheco deserves your attention.

In a deep class of running backs in the 2021 NFL Draft, it is easy for underclassmen and smaller school prospects to get buried in the crowd. This class has already seen the explosive and versatile Kenneth Gainwell opt out and declare for the draft, but headliners Travis Etienne of Clemson and Najee Harris of Alabama have been off to a hot start.

Even names like Oklahoma State’s Chuba Hubbard and Mississippi State’s Kylin Hill are padding this running back class even further. However, as the Big Ten is winding up to begin play in this 2020 season, there is an unlikely name from an unlikely school to keep a close eye on as he stands as a deep sleeper in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Junior running back Isaih Pacheco, from Rutgers of all programs, is a tantalizing ball carrier with big time potential as he gets set for his 2020 season. Pacheco is entering his third season with the Scarlet Knights, and is looking for an opportunity for a fulltime workload as he has yet to tally 200 carries in a season. He is, however, averaging over four yards per carry throughout his career.

Coming off a career year in 2019, a year where Pacheco averaged nearly four and a half yards per carry, the Rutgers’ running back will look to be a staple under new head coach Greg Schiano. He rushed for 729 yards and seven touchdowns a year ago for the Scarlet Knights, and proved to be their most fruitful offensive weapon.

An easy player to root for, and a sleeper in this year’s draft class, Pacheco will soon burst onto the scene and rise up boards sooner rather than later.
