3. Minnesota Vikings

Before heading to North Dakota State, Lance did not receive many division I offers to play quarterback, most notably only Northern Illinois making an effort to land him. Instead he went to the FCS level and the rest has been history. However, there is a fun little story mixed in as well as Lance, from the state of Minnesota, was recruited by his hometown Golden Gophers.

Here is the kicker as well that forced Lance to leave the state instead of heading to the University of Minnesota: they wanted him to change positions and play safety. However, with the draft coming his way in just six months, could Lance finally return home to Minnesota and land with the Vikings?

To start the season, the Vikings do not look on pace to see another playoff win as they have had in the past two seasons. After the departure of offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski, now the head coach of the Cleveland Browns, quarterback Kirk Cousins and the rest of the unit has looked completely lost, even with an uptick in Week 4. At just 1-3, the Vikings are firmly in the running for one of the top-three quarterbacks.

Head coach Mike Zimmer could be out, and the Vikings could be forced to pull of a Brock Osweiler to the Browns-esque trade in order to dump Cousins’ salary should this year continue to head south for the Vikings. This could leave them in the position to land their hometown hero in Lance.
