Can the Falcons afford to pass on Justin Fields in draft?

The Atlanta Falcons are off to a rough start, heading into Week 5 with a record of 0-4 in 2020. As they look to get their first win of the season, the Falcons will take on the Carolina Panthers as the job of head coach Dan Quinn hangs in the balance.

Can the Falcons take the pressure off of Quinn with a win, or are his days in Atlanta numbered no matter what? If (and by if this writer means most likely) Quinn is on the way out, the question has to be asked if quarterback Matt Ryan will follow. Despite being a former Most Valuable Player just four years ago, and even while he is playing well in 2020, Ryan may struggle to outlive a regime change with the Falcons beyond 2020.

Regardless of what happens, the 2021 NFL Draft will look quite interesting for the Falcons. They may need a new quarterback, they need an overhaul on defense, and they need a new head coach. Needless to stay, owner Arthur Blank may be ready to press the reset button as the Falcons are completely imploding on themselves and look lifeless and directionless.

As they head to a new direction, what could the 2021 NFL Draft look like for the Falcons? Will they get a new quarterback? Only time will tell. Here is a seven-round mock draft as Atlanta looks to reset the culture currently set under Quinn.
