Round 1, Pick 3: Justin Fields, QB, Ohio State

You guessed it, the Falcons move on from Ryan here and land a new quarterback of the future as they are heading towards an inevitable regime change. With Clemson phenom Trevor Lawrence locked in as the top pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Falcons get the next best dude with the third pick in the first round here.

Set to resume play at the end of the month, Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields is set to solidify himself as the next best gunslinger in the class behind Lawrence. Getting heat from the recently declared North Dakota State sensation quarterback Trey Lance, Fields will need a solid 2020 campaign as he looks to get back to the Heisman Trophy ceremony in New York.

As the Buckeyes look to get back to the College Football Playoffs and compete for a National Championship this season, they will lean on Fields to lead them to the promised land. Should he succeed and put together another great season in Columbus, Fields will be heading to the 2021 NFL Draft and will hear his name called early.

Here he lands with the Falcons as the new regime seeks a new face of the franchise in Atlanta.
