3. Kyle Trask, Florida

After now Arkansas quarterback Feleipe Franks went down with a season-ending injury a year ago, Kyle Trask stepped in for the Florida Gators and led them to an improved offense in 2019. Now the full-time starter for the Gators, Trask has taken his game to a new level, throwing for nearly 1,000 yards through three games, 14 touchdowns, and one interception; he is completing 71 percent of his passes in Gainesville.

However, there are some physical limitations to Trask’s game that could cap off his ceiling at the NFL. He does not have other-worldly athleticism, he does not have elite arm strength or talent, nor does he have consistently great accuracy. However at this point in the season for the University of Florida, Trask has shown great poise and leadership, even despite the upset loss to the Texas A&M Aggies.

Trask is a player analysts either love or they hate. At this point Trask is playing to the standard of the status quo. His numbers are highly impressive, but the tape he is pumping out shows his physical talents are not up to the standards of the other quarterbacks in the 2021 NFL Draft class. Trask, however, remains a name to monitor as he has the potential to rise before April.
