2021 NFL Draft: 3 early positions of need for Baltimore Ravens
3. Interior Offensive Line
So far this season, the Baltimore Ravens has been up and down to say the least, currently ranking 22nd in the entire NFL per Football Outsiders. During the offseason, franchise anchor Marshall Yanda called it quits after 13 years in the NFL. In his place sits rookie third-round pick Tyre Phillips who also been hot and cold to start the season.
Just recently, the Baltimore Ravens resigned left tackle Ronnie Stanley to a massive contract extension. Stanley was set to hit the market this offseason along with Skura, who we mentioned before as well as veteran D.J. Fluker. Skura is coming off of a terrible knee injury but has fairly well in spite of it. That said, Skura might be one of those players Baltimore has to part ways with this offseason.
Currently, the Baltimore Ravens have a couple different options. They could either slide Bradley Bozeman over to center, and place either Ben Powers or Ben Bredeson in his place at left guard next to Stanley. Or, they could opt to draft a center in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Right now there are a few different center prospects that could be in the conversation early are Ohio State’s Josh Myers and Iowa’s Tyler Linderbaum. Myers is a good mover in space, as well as showing the requisite physicality that Baltimore looks for in their interior offensive lineman. Linderbaum on the other hand is slightly undersized who only has one year of starting experience and could be a late day two pick.
