Q: When did you first realize you were going to be a kicker?

A: “I’d say when I was five years old. My brother and I are very close and he was 10 years old at the time and just starting to kick. I always wanted to do what my big brother did so I followed in his footsteps. It wasn’t until about 8th grade that I started to take it seriously though. That’s when I truly started focusing on my technique.”

Q: Did you play other positions in football?

A: “Yeah I played safety, wide receiver, quarterback, outside linebacker, cornerback, running back.”

Q: So you basically played everything!

A: “Haha yeah, and I’m currently also the punter for my team!”

Q: How about other sports? I know a lot of times, kickers are transformed soccer players. Did you play soccer at all?

A: “Yep I actually started playing soccer before football, when I was four years old. I stopped around 8th grade when I started getting serious about kicking.”

Q: So, why Miami?

A: “That’s my dream school. That’s been my dream school ever since I was little. It’s close to home so if I ever get homesick I can just go home. Plus all my friends and family can come and cheer me on which will really boost my mood.”
