How will the Denver Broncos attack the 2021 NFL Draft?

While a promising draft class in 2020 bodes well for the future of the Denver Broncos, they will need to continue to address key positions in 2021. What positions could the Broncos target the most in the 2021 NFL Draft?

The Broncos were one of the more promising young teams after another successful draft class in 2020 and the expectations that were set on their young quarterback, Drew Lock. With Lock entering his second season with a young offensive core around him that included wide receivers Courtland Sutton, Tim Patrick, 2020 first-round pick Jerry Jeudy, K.J. Hamler, tight end Noah Fant, and running backs Phillip Lindsay and Melvin Gordon, it appeared that Denver was set up to be one of the more explosive offenses in the league.

With a season-ending injury to Sutton and injuries to Lock, Lindsay, and Hamler impacting the offense, it hasn’t been as explosive as many would’ve hoped under new offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur.

The defensive side of the ball has suffered greatly from injuries in 2020 but has still managed to remain competitive. Von Miller has missed the majority of the season and their defensive line has taken hits in the form of Jurrell Casey and Mike Purcell going down with injuries. Vic Fangio has done a fine job of keeping the unit going, but could there be opportunities to upgrade in the 2021 NFL Draft? We’ll explore that here.
