4. Washington Football Team

The Washington Football Team find themselves in a peculiar spot.

In the midst of a lackluster NFC East battle, Washington currently sits atop the division with a record of 6-7 on the year. While it is great they are winning the division, this also means a nine pick drop off from the second place New York Giants. This puts Washington far out of reach of a new quarterback they will be looking for.

This also means they will be in the market for a bridge quarterback in all likelihood this offseason. Look for Washington to turn to the likes of Cam Newton, who has familiarity with head coach Ron Rivera, or perhaps Sam Darnold as he flames out of the Big Apple. This also means they will turn to another position of need in the 2021 NFL Draft, with offensive tackle being near the top.

Next. Carson Strong the ultimate wildcard of 2021 NFL Draft. dark

After trading disgruntled left tackle Trent Williams to the San Francisco 49ers this offseason, Washington has been starting Geron Christian Sr. at left tackle, and they have had a revolving door of spot starters as well after Christian went on Injured Reserve. This includes the likes of right tackle Morgan Moses and rookie Saahdiq Charles. The addition of Darrisaw would quiet a ton of fears in the nation’s capitol should he still be on the board by the time the 19th pick rolls around.
