Kyle Pitts is off to the 2021 NFL Draft as the top tight end

One of the most dynamic playmakers in the entire country is off to the 2021 NFL Draft as Florida tight end Kyle Pitts makes it official. After a monster 2020 season where he racked up 770 yards and 12 touchdowns in just eight games, Pitts has separated himself from the pack, and has made himself one of the most desirable weapons in the eyes of NFL teams.

Watching Pitts this summer, this writer was a massive fan of his game, listing him as the top tight end of summer scouting:

"“Had Kyle Pitts been eligible for the 2020 NFL Draft, there is not a question in this writer’s mind that he would have been the first tight end off the board ahead of Kmet and Devin Asiasi. Now entering the 2020 season, he has a chance to take his game to new heights with the Florida football program, and vie for the spot as the first tight end off the board in the 2021 NFL Draft…With shades of Travis Kelce to his game, Pitts has the chance to have just as successful of a career as the Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end. The physical gifts and talent are there for Pitts, and do not bet on his play taking a hit in 2020.”"

Not only did Pitts live up to his preseason hype, but he exceeded it.

2021 NFL Draft outlook of Kyle Pitts

Pitts has made it undoubtedly clear that he is the top tight end in the nation this season with the Gators. While guys like Penn State’s Pat Freiermuth and Boston College’s Hunter Long are talented in their own right, Pitts takes the cake as TE1. He will be the first one off the board, and likely within the first 20 picks of the 2021 NFL Draft.

With his versatility to line up all over the offense and win, Pitts will make one NFL team extremely happy. Some of his most ideal fits include The Los Angeles Chargers, the Carolina Panthers, and the Buffalo Bills. The next we may see of Pitts after opting out of the bowl game will be at the NFL Scouting Combine. Look for him to put on a show there as well.
