It appears Azeez Ojulari may be taking his game to the next level

While nothing has been made official at this point, the rumors are out that Georgia Bulldogs’ star edge rusher Azeez Ojulari may be off to the NFL. After a breakout redshirt sophomore season, Sports Illustrated reports Ojulari is likely to opt out of the Peach Bowl showdown with the Cincinnati Bearcats and likely declare for the 2021 NFL Draft.

"“Redshirt sophomore Azeez Ojulari is expected to be the ninth Georgia player to opt out of the Peach Bowl against Cincinnati. An announcement for Ojulari’s entrance into the NFL Draft now appears very likely.”"

In competition with the likes of Michigan’s Kwity Paye, Miami’s Gregory Rousseau, and Texas’ Joseph Ossai for the top edge rusher in the class, Ojulari has a chance to be the first pass rusher off the board. The 6-foot-3 and 240 pound Bulldog racked up nine and a half tackles and six and a half sacks in nine games this season, forcing two fumbles and knocking two passes down at the line of scrimmage.

His current 2021 NFL Draft outlook

Some ideal team fits for Ojulari include the Los Angeles Chargers, Arizona Cardinals, Minnesota Vikings, and Cleveland Browns. By the time April rolls around, look for Ojulari to hear his name called on the first night of the draft, despite the Georgia coaching staff telling him he has a fifth round grade in an attempt to get him to stay in school.

Ojulari has all of the potential in the world to be the first pass rusher off the board by the time the 2021 NFL Draft rolls around. He is dynamic, explosive, possess NFL-caliber bend (perhaps the best in the class), and is strong against the run. He will likely test well at the NFL Scouting Combine, drawing even more teams to his name.
