Is it time for the Falcons to move on from Matt Ryan?

With just one week left in the NFL season, it is clear Atlanta Falcons fans can turn their attention towards the 2021 NFL Draft. Now before they get to the draft they will have to address the big questions of who will be calling the shots by hiring a new head coach and general manager. Until then the best we can do is guess what type of players they will be targeting based on the current strength of the roster and projected needs going forward.

This upcoming week versus the Buccaneers is a big one, as if they win they can go from the fourth overall pick to pick 10, a drastic change for the future of this franchise. While many other teams prepare for the playoffs and position themselves to make a run the Falcons are in a critical spot to set the team up for the future.

Is it time for a new QB in a Falcons uniform?

There has been a lot of talk about whether the team will look to draft a quarterback of the future this year, and that remains unclear. We likely will not know the answer until the new general manager is announced and he talks about his plans going forward. While Matt Ryan’s contract is extremely hard to move on from, you would have to figure that if in the position to draft a new franchise quarterback the Falcons at least think about it.
