Round 2, Pick 35: Azeez Ojulari, EDGE, UGA
Now, there is a really good chance Georgia pass rusher Azeez Ojulari does not make it this far, but it is still early in the draft process and the possibility is there. The Falcons have been looking for consistent edge play since the outbreak season of Vic Beasley back in 2016. While it was quickly revealed that that season was an outlier the team has put quite a few resources into the position since then.
Here the Falcons get an explosive pass rusher who is super bendy but also knows how to win with power. If Ojulari is on the board it would be a steal for a team in desperate need of some pass rush help.
Round 3, Pick 68: Javonte Williams, North Carolina, Running Back
The running game has not been good for the Falcons for quite some time now, and the addition of Todd Gurley this offseason has shown to not be beneficial in the slightest. It is clear that while the offense has found some success this season, they are still held back by a lack of a true ground game.
The team has currently tried their hand in a few different running backs this season in attempts to get things going. However, through the last four games no running back has managed to rush for over 50 yards. During this time Gurley has not rushed for over 20 yards, including a performance in which he had -1 yards.
Williams is just what this team needs as it looks to establish a complementary piece to an already explosive and effective offense.
