What should the Dolphins do with the third pick?

The Miami Dolphins ended a promising season with a disappointing loss to the Buffalo Bills. Officially eliminated from the playoffs, the Dolphins turn their attention to roster construction. However, there is something about the Dolphins that makes them different from most other 10-6 teams; a top three draft pick. That pick, acquired from the Houston Texans, has given Miami more flexibility than they could ever imagine.

Not only do the Dolphins hold the third pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, but they hold three other picks in the top-50 as well. The Dolphins future is promising and they will get an opportunity to add even more young talent this off-season. There are certainly more needs on this roster than a typical 10-six team has.

Many who cover the Dolphins expect the offense to be overhauled significantly in the off-season. The group that can expect the most new faces is the wide receiver room. After struggling for most of the season, that unit punctuated their 2020 season with a whopping nine drops in a 56-26 week 17 loss to the Bills.

The defense showed great strides in year two under Brian Flores, and is returning essentially every starter in 2021. First round pick cornerback Noah Igbinoghene struggled when on the field in 2020, and the Dolphins hope to help him show massive improvement in his second season.

With the 2021 NFL Draft now next for the Dolphins, what will they opt to do with the third overall pick?
