What should the Giants do in the first round?

With the 11th overall selection secured after being eliminated from playoff contention, what should the New York Giants do with their first round pick? The Giants fought for a well-earned win last Sunday after defeating the Dallas Cowboys 23-19. In doing so, they were in contention for the NFC East division title, but were quickly removed from the playoff picture when the Washington Football Team took on the Philadelphia Eagles that same evening.

We know how that turned out.

For Giants fans, it is a bitter pill to swallow after a season that began with a dismal 1-7 record but finished with an impressive 5-3 run to round out on a high note. Simply put, first-year head coach Joe Judge did well enough to keep his team competitive in nearly every game this season and put forth an encouraging vibe looking toward the offseason.

With their elimination from the playoffs, the Giants secured the 11th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. There is an entire free agency period that looms, but fans can start looking at the NFL Draft for potential stars that can bolster this roster to becoming a bonafide contender. What should they do with this pick? There are clearly a few options on the table for Big Blue to consider.

Here we look at three options the Giants have on the table as Dave Gettleman looks likely to return as the general manager in the Big Apple. Wide receiver, pass rusher, cornerback, trade back? We take a look next.
