1. Kadarius Toney, WR, Florida
The Packers simply must get more help for Aaron Rodgers, assuming his words in the wake of their loss to the Buccaneers do not prove a harbinger of his departure, and Toney would give them a type of receiver they do not have on the roster.
Running back Tyler Ervin had played the Deebo Samuel role in spurts for the Packers in 2020, but Toney should be able to do it much more effectively at the next level having demonstrated similar versatility and upside to the San Francisco 49ers wideout during his career with the Gators.
Toney was a key reason why Florida quarterback Kyle Trask was a Heisman finalist this past season, racking up 1,145 yards from scrimmage and 11 total touchdowns for the Gators in 2020. He can play at every receiver position and has also proven a dynamic option as a runner out of the backfield.
Excellent with the ball in his hands in space, Toney has the potential to take the Packers’ short passing game to the next level with what he can do after the catch. Additionally, Toney would offer them another option in the return game, having returned a punt for a touchdown in his senior season and averaged 22.1 yards per return on just seven kickoff runbacks.
