2. Dillon Radunz, OT, North Dakota State

So much attention during the week of practice was on the standout performances of Wisconsin-Whitewater interior offensive lineman Quinn Meinerz and, while the Division III prospect was worthy of such acclaim, Bison tackle Radunz performed at an even higher standard, putting on a show that should significantly boost his chances of being taken within the opening 32 picks.

Effective from both the tackle and guard spots, Radunz consistently shut down opponents in one on ones and similarly excelled during the team periods. Radunz showed excellent lateral quickness, played with a strong wide base and proved consistently able to drop his anchor and shut down secondary rush attempts from defensive linemen.

In the run game, Radunz displayed athleticism to suggest he should be comfortable playing in any number of blocking schemes. He had success pulling across the formation to open running lanes and proved similarly proficient in climbing to take on linebackers at the second level.

Scheme versatile and seemingly position versatile, Radunz was already on the fringes of first-round consideration going into the week in Mobile. Having been named the Overall Practice Player of the Week, Radunz left the Senior Bowl with his case significantly strengthened. He should be high on the boards of teams looking to bolster the trenches.
