Raiders fix their secondary with William Jackson III

The Raiders last year were one of the worst teams against the pass allowing over 300-yards five times and over 200-yards in all, but just three games. Which lead to the firing of their defensive coordinator. While they did draft a corner in the first round last year Arnett spent a lot of time off the field.

The Raiders need to fix this defense and fix it fast as the offenses in the AFC West are getting extremely good very quickly.

William Jackson III has only played four years in the NFL so they are still getting quite a young player, and he has shown the ability to be quite good. Netting over 40 tackles in two of the four seasons and having double-digit pass deflections in three of the four. While there leaves a lot of room for improvement as far as interceptions go as he has just three in his career, he will be the best corner they have instantly.

This will be just one of the pieces they will need to add to fix that defense. Considering they are slowly putting together a solid pass rush if they can stall wide receivers long enough the pass rush can do its job. Adding Jackson should allow the defensive line more time to get to the quarterback or at least get them out of the pocket.

Adding Jackson to the fold, will instantly take off such players as Farley off their board in the first round and allow to fill other voids such as offensive line, or linebacker.
