Raiders fix their linebackers with Matt Milano

Matt Milano has some issues staying healthy, but where he doesn’t have an issue is in pass coverage. He might be the best pass coverage linebacker in free agency this year. This is good news for the Raiders, who cant stop the pass. While an option like Pete Werner would be a great addition, adding a linebacker in free agency could change their path.

Over the last four seasons, Milano has only played a full season once, however it was quite an epic full season. Notching 101 tackles, nine pass deflections, one and a half sacks, and one forced fumble.

Milano should also be a cheaper option due to his current rampant injury history, but if they can get him to stay healthy he will be a great bargain. I love this move here for the Raiders its a low-risk-high-reward move, it should be a cheap deal. They desperately need pass coverage help, and when healthy he can be a tackling machine. This also would allow them to take a look at other options in the top half of the draft.

Looking deeper at adding defensive backs, offensive linemen, or if they pass on a wide receiver Jaylen Waddle could be sitting right there. Let’s be honest if they fill this hole and Jaylen Waddle is there, he’s going to Las Vegas they love speed.
