Under 75 days until the 2021 NFL Draft, the NFL offseason is warming up. The new league year gets set to begin in just about two weeks, and trades are getting ready to work themselves out. The quarterback carousel is just beginning, and there will plenty more turnover to go. In this edition of NFL Draft Digest, we discuss a couple of those quarterbacks.

Carson Wentz still has suitors

It seems like Carson Wentz was supposed to be traded ages ago, and the Chicago Bears were right in the forefront. While Wentz has yet to be traded, and now with a first round pick off the table, the Eagles still have suitors for his services with the new league year on the horizon; in fact, the Bears are still an option.

On The Herd with Collin Cowherd, Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer was his guest, stating the Bears were still the frontrunner for Wentz. The Bears believe Wentz’ shortcomings have been mechanical, and they feel as though they can fix him. There is another team, however, in on Wentz as well: the Indianapolis Colts.

While Indianapolis is the preferred destination of the quarterback, Breer stated that the Bears have made a harder push for the former second overall pick. Where will he land? That is still up in the air, but let’s hope this saga comes to an end soon.

Trevor Lawrence wows, solidifying top pick in NFL Draft

While it may have been a pointless endeavor, Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence held his pro day this past weekend, putting on a show. Dropping dimes from 65 yards on the run, showing off his polished mechanics, and more, Lawrence is doing nothing more than solidifying himself as the top pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

After his pro day, Lawrence will now undergo labrum surgery on his non-throwing arm before he begins his NFL career. With the Jacksonville Jaguars on the clock, the New York Jets better already have their ducks in a row as the first pick is set in stone barring a bizarre incident. Trevor Lawrence is the best quarterback we have seen since Andrew Luck, and we are done overthinking him.
