3. RB Peyton Barber

How can anyone really like this guy as a player? He must be a great guy to have around because as a football player, there is little to no role. I know he is a third-down bruiser and people like that, but he offers no threat in any facet of the game. Defensive coordinators are probably happy to see Barber on the field when he is playing from the twenty-to-twenty. He continues to rank near the bottom in expected-points-above-replacement (EPA). EPA is an advanced metric that essentially measures team contributions and Barber consistently ranks as an extremely negative impact player.

If you want a bruiser, get someone that can do more than run into the back of his offensive guard. Barber faced a ton of seven-man boxes because it is completely obvious he is in there to run up the gut. I think an effective offense should always keep a defense honest, even if it is just 3rd and 1.

Rhamondre Stevenson from Oklahoma, who I previously mocked to the Washington Football Team, seems like a good fit. He is an Eddie Lacy-like running back and will surprise you with soft hands. He can get behind his offensive line in the screen game and threaten that way. How nice would it be to surprise a defense with a screen-play on second and six? Stevenson would be an excellent direct backup to Antonio Gibson where you can wear defenses down when the games get deep and the weather gets cold. Replacing Barber is a sneaky top priority.
