Jaguars beef up secondary in 7-round 2021 NFL Mock Draft
The Jacksonville Jaguars find themselves as one of the main protagonists of this offseason. They hold the first pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, with their eyes dead set on selecting acclaimed Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence. The Jaguars have 10 other drafts, some of which include three on day two and an extra first round pick via the Los Angeles Rams from the Jalen Ramsey trade.
With needs on both offense and defense, the Jaguars have the ample amount of picks to position themselves nicely heading into next season. Monday officially starts the legal tampering period for the NFL. This is the time when NFL ball clubs can begin negotiating contracts with upcoming free agents.
Next Wednesday, the league year will begin where any of said negotiations and trades can become official. For fans, media personalities, and teams, this is one of the most exciting times of the year, ushering in a new era of players with the draft and new journeys for ones.
Looking at cap situation for Jaguars
Their cap situation isn’t anything to sneer at either, as the Jaguars currently possess $85 million in disposable cap space per Spotrac. Luckily for them, they do not have many players currently listed as free agents who they desperately need to retain.
The Jaguars are in a prime to greatly improve their squad this offseason, however, it is imperative that General Manager Trent Baalke hits on these draft picks and these free agents.
