Round 2. Pick 33: Trevon Moehrig – Safety – Texas Christian

One could argue, the Jacksonville Jaguars’ most pressing need sans quarterback is at the safety position. Currently, the Jaguars have three free safeties under contract for the 2021 season, including Jarrod Wilson, Doug Middleton, and Andrew Wingard. Enter Trevon Moehrig from TCU and this writer’s number one safety. Moehrig impressed the draft world the last two seasons with his fluid movement in space and knack for intercepting quarterbacks. His physical skillset will go far in this new Joe Cullen defense.

Round 2. Pick 45: Aaron Robinson – Cornerback – Central Florida

Last year, the Jaguars spend one of their first round picks on Florida cornerback CJ Henderson. While the likes of Jones and Herndon served as adequate running mates for the young corner, the Jaguars would benefit from having another alpha across from Henderson. Here at 45, the Jaguars get one of the most physical corners in the 2021 NFL Draft. Robinson has incredibly quick with active hands in press coverage. His brand fits into the kind of physical player the Jaguars will look for this offseason.

Round 3. Pick 65: Tommy Tremble – Tight End – Notre Dame

Rounding out the Jaguars’ day two picks is Notre Dame tight end Tommy Tremble. With Tyler Eifert set to hit the open market here in a few days and former third-rounder Josh Oliver continuing to struggle with injury, the need at tight has become another big need for the Jaguars. Tremble is not the prototypical tight end that you’d ask to block 24/7. While Tremble does possess solid strength and flashes as a blocker, he is an H-back type player who can be used heavily in the passing game as a potential safety blanket for Lawrence.
