Round 4. Pick 106: Alim McNeil – Defensive Tackle – NC State

Last year, the Jaguars selected Davon Hamilton to play defensive tackle for them along with Taven Bryan. With Cullen coming in as the new defensive coordinator, the team will likely be switching to a 3-4 defensive front, which means there’s a need at nose tackle. The Jaguars get a steal here with Alim McNeil, a terrific run defender who has the ceiling to grow as a pass rusher.

Round 4. Pick 130: Cornell Powell – Wide Receiver – Clemson

With Dede Westbrook, Keelan Cole, and Chris Conley all likely leaving in free agency, the Jaguars need to find a receiver to pair with DJ Chark and Laviska Shenault Jr. While it’s likely they’ll address this much earlier, here they go with Cornell Powell, someone Lawrence is already familiar with. Powell showed some solid route running and consistent hands in 2020, two things that made him a reliable target at Clemson.

Round 5. Pick 146: James Wiggins – Safety – Cincinnati

Here the Jaguars double-dip at the safety position with James Wiggins of Cincinnati. Wiggins is a big-bodied defensive back who, despite some injury concerns, displayed solid instincts with Bearcats along with great physicality. He has the ability to take over the starting strong safety or at the very least provide some quality depth for the Jaguars.
