Bengals: 3 William Jackson replacements in 2021 NFL Draft
Benjamin St-Juste, Minnesota
Benjamin St-Juste is one of the better developmental corners in this draft class. He has great physicality, length and has solid athleticism. He thrives in press-man coverage where he can get his hands on receivers and work into their frame. Once he’s mirroring routes, his length makes it incredibly difficult to throw the ball anywhere around him.
He showed out at the Senior Bowl this year. Some had questions about his ability to get his hands on balls, but he was a pass break-up machine at the Senior Bowl. There is a chance that between now and the draft, St-Juste has a major jump in draft stock and works his way into day two, because he’s that good. For now, however, it appears he is still viewed as an early day-three prospect.
If he falls to day three, and the Bengals want to draft him, they will need to use their early fourth-round pick to grab him, and it’s not a given that he even makes it that far. Benjamin St-Juste is one of the more slept-on players in this draft class, and it’s hard to see why. He is a bit more of a project than the other two players, but it’s a project that could yield high returns.
