1. Jaylen Waddle, Alabama

Jaylen Waddle is the perfect wide receiver for the Lions. His skillset differs quite a bit from that of Kenny Golladay, but he brings dynamics that Golladay couldn’t. Waddle has game-breaking speed. He can truly outrun anybody on the field, and if the Lions move on from Goff in the near future, he could become a deep threat.

However, what makes him so special is that he uses his speed in all areas of the field, not just the deep portions. Waddle can run crossers, slants, out routes, you name it. Once he gets the ball in his hands, he has the ability to take it all the way to the endzone. Waddle is a monster after the catch. He can bob and weave in and out of running lanes and possesses tremendous field vision to do so.

A lot of the time, when people hear elite speed, they think of a deep threat receiver, but Waddle is so much more than that. His teammate might have won the Heisman, but there is more than a good chance that Waddle is the superior NFL player. Whoever the quarterback for the Lions will be, Jaylen Waddle will be his best friend.
